First Responders & Frontline Professionals
The First Responder & Frontline Worker Community
You have worked hard to earn your place in your career. Your skills, heart, and professionalism have taken you through experiences few people will ever understand.
Some people refer to you as a “hero,” but that's not how you see yourself. You see yourself as someone who chose an honorable career -- one built on service, integrity and helping others.
When It's Time To Talk
Maybe you’ve noticed that it’s getting harder to leave work at work. You care a little too much, or maybe you’ve started to feel numb — wondering where the purpose you once had has gone. After all, you’ve seen real tragedies and real problems — and that perspective can make it hard to talk about your own.
You may want someone who can also help your partner or family understand what’s changed — someone who can help bridge the gap between you and those who love you most. You don’t want to relive every call, case, or shift, or describe the images that still replay in your mind. If you could erase them, you would.
But maybe it’s time to get some help — not because you’re broken, but because helping others was never meant to hurt you or your family.
Why Specialized Support Matters
It’s vital for first responders and frontline professionals to work with therapists who understand your world — the weight of responsibility, the impact of shift work, and the toll that repeated exposure to trauma, crisis, and high-stakes situations can take on your relationships and well-being.
These effects are normal. But when they start to interfere with your sleep, focus, or relationships, it’s time to reset your system and reconnect with the person you used to be.
I’ve received — and continue to pursue — specialized training to help first responders, medical professionals, district attorneys, and other frontline workers heal, strengthen communication, and restore resilience.
EMDR Intensives For First Responders & Frontline Workers
For those who want results quickly, EMDR Intensives can offer relief in a focused and efficient way. Whether your symptoms stem from years of cumulative stress or from a recent critical incident, EMDR helps desensitize and reprocess those memories so your body and mind can finally relax.
Many clients report that after EMDR, the edge softens, irritability decreases, and intrusive thoughts or dreams begin to fade. The load gets lighter — and life starts to feel more like your own again.
I often tell my clients that just because your agency doesn’t see the call, case, or situation you were on as a critical incident, doesn’t mean it wasn’t a Critical Incident to you.
Experience in the Field
I’ve had the honor of teaching Resilience, Critical Incident Stress Debriefing, and Stress Management to Sergeants of the California Highway Patrol and providing Resiliency Training at the CHP Academy.
I’ve also presented trainings for the California District Attorneys Association, Cal Fire, and various law enforcement, fire departments, medical organizations, and corporate agencies.
In addition, I regularly provide Critical Incident Stress Debriefings and assist with Peer Support Team training for first responder and frontline organizations.
Through this work, I’ve witnessed firsthand the incredible courage and compassion that define the first responder and frontline communities — and I’m committed to helping you rediscover balance and connection in your life.
Take The Next Step
If you’re ready to explore how EMDR Intensives, individual trauma therapy, or couple's therapy can help you recover your strength, focus, and peace, I’d be honored to help.
Together, we can work toward restoring balance — for you, your relationships, and your sense of purpose.
Whether you’re seeking relief from a specific incident or the cumulative stress of years of service, healing is possible.
